WALT: write an acrostic poem

All New Zealand soldiers fighting for britain
Nice amazing soldiers fighting for us in world war 1
Zig zagging around the battlefield dodging lots of bullets
Anzac soldiers in their trenches
Countries around the huge battlefield

 Digging trenches to save their lives
Australia and New Zealand arriving at the battlefield
Young men injured in the battlefield

 We wrote an ANZAC day poem because of World War One.

    Wow Slade! What an amazing poem you and Yazmin have written! I wonder what was going through the ANZAC's minds as they were heading to Gallipoli. Next time maybe you could explain why you wrote the ANZAC poem.
